Danny Leung - A Passionate Advocate for Table Tennis
Since my early childhood, table tennis has been more than just a game; it has been a lifelong passion. I’m excited about the opportunity to serve as the At-Large Director for USA Table Tennis (USATT), where I can bring my experience and dedication to elevate the sport on a national scale.
In 2015, I worked with Hailong Shen and co-founded Table Tennis America (TTA) in Fremont, California. From the beginning, our goal was not only to provide a place for people to play but also to create a hub that nurtures young talent and fosters a true love for the game. TTA has become the training ground for Lily Zhang, a four-time Olympian and one of the top players in the U.S., and has supported countless others on their paths to success. In 2023, TTA’s students secured 17 positions on the U.S. National Table Tennis team, representing nearly half of the available spots. This achievement is a testament to our club’s dedication to developing high-level players and contributing to the growth of the sport.
In my role as TTA’s Chief Operating Officer and a member of its board, I’ve honed expertise in business development strategy, team operations, and long-term growth planning. With over 15 years of experience as an executive in the tech industry, I bring a solid understanding of strategic leadership and operational management, skills that I am eager to leverage for USATT. My goal as At-Large Director is to make table tennis more accessible, popular, and professionally viable in the U.S. I believe that by creating more pathways for players of all ages and skill levels, we can transform the future of the sport.
